Mike Quirke, is a London based artist, working from St Patrick’s Studios in Wapping. Mike studied at Chelsea School of Art and Goldsmith College and has many years experience working in art and art education.
Recently he was invited to join the team of artists working on Westminster Cathedral’s Way of Mercy Stations contributing two paintings – the Merciful Father and the Conversion of St Paul. Both paintings are now on permanent loan to parishes in the diocese of Westminster.
Other recent exhibitions have included the Royal Academy 250th Summer Exhibition, Wapping Open Studios, and St Michael’s Arts Festival with solo exhibitions at Husk Creative Space and the Catholic Truth Society. He was awarded a Pubeo painting prize for his contribution to Camaradas: British/Mexican art collaboration at Menier Gallery in 2019
Mike recently completed a commission for Archbishop Edward Adams the Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain. He is currently engaged in a number of commissions for parishes in Westminster.
