Lucinda May

Lucinda is a conceptual artist who uses the tools of beauty and playfulness through a wide range of media to interrupt the everyday and suggest a different kind of reality bursting into the one that we usually see. Her work is fundamentally informed by her Christian faith, the themes of which she is constantly exploring, often through making artwork that interacts with communities and places she finds herself in.

Lucinda studied Art and History of Art at Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh University. After graduating she exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy’s Young Contemporaries exhibition in 2013.

Since then, Lucinda has exhibited in group and solo shows around London and has been artist-in-residence in Cadiz, Spain, and at Husk in Limehouse where she now oversees the Artist-in-Continuum program.
