juli Jana is a London based artist and poet. juli works in oil, acrylic, watercolour and a range of graphic mediums. juli’s paintings are characterized by a vibrancy of colour and light. She cites Hodgkin and Matisse as two important influences. juli enjoys an exploratory approach to line and shape giving her form an experimental qualitity, a characteristic reflected also in her writing.
juli has exhibited widely in the UK and abroad with a number of one man exhibitions and group shows in London and her native Cape Town.
juli held her latest one man shows at Gallery 61 and Made in Greenwich and contributed regularly to group shows at the Meinier Gallery, Lee Open Studios and the Espacio Gallery. She is looking forward to exhibiting with the Wapping Open Studios later in the year.
